SAMPLING & ASSAYING

To assure accurate determination of precious metals content, IPMR homogenizes, samples and assays each lot of material received from its customers.

Sampling Preparation:

• Material examined upon arrival
• Melted and homogenized (process based on material)
• Samples sent to laboratory

Sampling

• Material sampled in molten state
• Sample is divided into three parts: IPMR, customer, arbitration if necessary
  • Refinery sample sent to the laboratory

Assaying

• Fire assay process for gold
• Wet gravimetric or instrumental procedures for silver
• Assay laboratory is designed to meet or exceed NADCAP/ISO 17025 requirements
